Live multi-user A/V mixing environment
First developed in 2003, VisitorsStudio was a shared browser-based audiovisual performance space. Participants in different locations could upload sound, images, animation and video, mix the material together and converse while the composition unfolded. Developed at Furtherfield under the creative direction of Neil Jenkins, Marc Garrett and Ruth Catlow, with its interface and backend designed and programmed by Jenkins, it grew from a breakout space for FurtherStudio audiences into a platform for collaborative performances, workshops and political action.
