    RE:IMAGE approached photography as a medium in motion: fluid, porous and open to rethinking.The exhibition brought together works that questioned what a photographic image can be, how it functions and where its boundaries dissolve.Through shifts of scale, material and process, the works recontextualised the image through installation, sculpture, performance and digital environments—as residue, trace and fragment.     First developed in 2003, VisitorsStudio was a shared browser-based audiovisual performance space. Participants in different locations could upload sound, images, animation and video, mix the material together and converse while the composition unfolded.     Launched in 2003, FurtherStudio operated as a distributed online artist-residency space. Artists remained at home or in their studios while visitors observed work developing on their computer desktops, spoke with them in real time and joined public critical discussions. The project was conceived and coordinated by Furtherfield founders Marc Garrett and Ruth Catlow, with programming and design by Neil Jenkins; residents included Jess Loseby, Rich White and replic**t.
